Search in Notes

I need to crate a smart list based on some serial numbers I put into notes. When I try to search, nothing comes as a result. Am I right to say there is a limitation that when searching for tasks the notes of the tasks are not considered? Thanks.

By default, the contents of notes will not be searched. However, you can search notes by using the noteContains search operator. For example, if you're looking for serial number 123456, you could search for:

noteContains:"123456"

In the web app, if you click the search dropdown there's a checkbox at the bottom that says, "Search Notes." Perhaps this could be incorporated into the mobile apps as well.
