Duration displayed in the list?

Would it be possible to add the duration of a task to the overview list, so that the estimated duration of a task is visible at first glance (and perhaps a sorting option based on duration)?

Background: I want to keep a list of tasks and then look at the list and see "Oh, I've got that 3-hour task that could be done today, and 2 2-hour tasks - that leaves me 1 hour free, is there a 1 hour task in here"...

I too would like to be able to sort by duration. For example, right now I have 8 minutes before I leave to catch my train. It'd be nice to be able to see quickly if there are any tasks on my list that I could accomplish before heading out the door. 7 minutes now.
