if you did as ymowriter suggests, and also introduced the ability to set start and finish times for items, then you could enter both tasks and events into the same calendar.

if this worked, it would far outclass online calendars like google or yahoo.

also (bit wacky?)...how about a docubase too? i.e. tasks with no times/dates, but where the notes are the important bit. which aren't in the schedule itself. but which can be emailed to an inbox, tagged, shared, managed and searched through the same kind of interface as the tasks (and hypothetical events).

i want this feature so badly - if no-one else invents it i may have to do it myself. but first i'll have to learn how. which could take quite a while, so fingers x'd someone else wants this too.

I want a calendar too. I wonder that none of this GTD gadgets offers the list/to do feature AND a calendar. They are always separated! Hard for me to understand. I think that many problems just occur from connecting these tools. If I see all the help topics here just for connecting Google Calendar or iCal wit RTM...this proofs that a calendar is essential but no solution is available.
It makes things so complicated because you need already two tools just to organize your stuff and of course you need an additional mail software. To sync three tools from three developers will just not work. So, please, be the first and combine the todo-list with a calender!

A calendar with start/end dates would make RTM a must-have tool for every PM in the world!

Adding calendar functionality doesn't stop you also offering integration with other calendar systems.

What it does do is improve RTM hugely!
