Reminder problems

I have tried several different variations to try to receive reminders. I have email configured - which was verified successfully. I also set up SMS to send to my AT&T account using MY_NUMBER@txt.att.net. I tested this to my cell and received immediately. I manage the spam filter for our office so I can review and so far nothing is being stopped. Any suggestions?
