iphone log in not working

ok, solved it plus some other iphone problems with a software restore.

If this happens on an iPhone, it might be worth double checking that you have cookies enabled for 'From visited' on your iPhone.
You can make sure that you have cookies enabled with the following steps (this will require turning the phone off and back on again for this setting to take effect):
1) Touch the 'Settings' icon on the Home screen
2) Scroll down and touch 'Safari'
3) Touch 'Accept cookies'
4) Touch 'From visited' option
5) Press the Home button on the device
6) Hold down the power button on top of the device
7) Slide to power off
8) Wait until the phone is off, then hold the power button again until you see the Apple logo. The phone will now turn on.
9) Open Safari and try to login again.
