Troubleshooting information for the iPhone app is provided below. If you still have problems after reading this page, please contact us and submit a support query.
Reminders via Push Notifications are sent according to your Remember The Milk reminder settings (learn more about configuring reminders). Note: The app badge number is not updated via Push Notifications at this time. If you experience problems with Push Notifications, please try the following to resolve the issue:
1. Is your device jailbroken or "hacktivated"?
As far as we're aware, at this time Apple doesn't support the Push Notifications service on jailbroken or "hacktivated" devices. If this applies to you, we're sorry that Push Notifications won't work with the app on your device.
2. Double check your reminder settings.
Please see the reminders guide for instructions on setting your preferences. You can check that your preferences are working by setting up a different reminder method (e.g., email) and ensuring that you receive reminders at the correct time.
3. Restart your device.
Some issues with Push Notifications may be resolved by restarting the iPhone OS software, then launching the RTM app again. To restart your iPhone or iPod touch:
4. Still having problems?
If you continue to experience problems, please submit a reminder issue report via our support system. We'll be able to investigate your issue further with the information provided.
This was a known issue with app version 1.1.0. This issue was fixed in version 1.1.1; if you still experience the issue, please make sure you have updated to this version or later.

The iPhone OS controls this behavior, and it appears to be time-based. If the device is unlocked shortly after receiving the Push Notification (i.e., within seconds), the app is automatically launched. If the device is unlocked a few minutes after receiving the Push Notification, the app isn't automatically launched. Unfortunately there is no way to customize this behavior for the app.
The iPhone OS controls this behavior, but we are currently investigating this issue to see whether we can work around this and prevent the second notification from displaying once in the app.
