Tip:Programmers and Web developers - estimated completion

Here's how I do it with RTM:

create a list for the project

create a task for everything that needs to be done, every tiny aspect of the coding, and graphical work.

go through and enter in the time estimate on RTM

add one last task called debugging

set that tasks estimated time to about 3 hours

then get the total estimated time for the whole list

send the estimated time to my employer and bam success

Great idea. It's really nice to get an estimate of an entire list, especially if that list corresponds to a project of yours.

There are some more details on combining the time estimates with Smart Lists on the blog. Long story short: time estimates give you a good overview of how long a set of tasks will take. :)
