Maybe not an tip to use by everybody, but certainly a usage of RTM.

I wrote some scripts to summarize the numbers people share on Twitter with 'I completed X tasks in 2012 #rtmstats' RTM auto-post. Take a look if you want to know how you compare to other RTM-ers!
