Well, sort of. :)

The GPS will pick up your location just fine, but there's no way to cause a reminder to pop up. Third-party apps currently cannot run in the background on the iPhone. To monitor your location and tell you when tasks are nearby, the app would need to constantly run on your device and check your location and tasks to know when to pop up an alert (right now once you exit the app, it stops running altogether).

While we're waiting on Apple to offer a solution that may make this possible, you can use the Nearby feature of the app to see tasks located nearby.

So when you arrive at the shops, you can simply bring up RTM, check the Nearby screen, and see what's convenient where you are. :)

If you know you're going to be at the shops at a given time, you could create a separate task to "Check Nearby tasks", due at a certain time, which will then remind you. It might sound like an extra step, but it's helped me out a few times!

Hi, sad that apple did not think about this, not allowing backround apps.

But is it possible if I leave RTM in front, iphone switched off? Will it remind me then?

As for near by thing: it would be so much nicer to have a maps integration. I could just leave RTM running walking down the shopping street, my grilfriend sends me a task like please buy "insert something" in this location. So while I am walking I could see where I am going.
