| andrewski (Remember The Milk) says: To explain why: RTM has no way to provide notifications when not running. Push notifications are sent from someone (a website/service; in this case, from RTM) to Apple, and then from Apple to your device. So your RTM needs to know about the new tasks in order to set that process in motion.

chiefsahib says:So if I created a task and synced with the RTM server, but at the time the task was due I was out of network coverage, I wouldn't receive the push notification? Posted 2 years ago |
| jameswfrost says: chiefsahib: correct - you need to have some form of connectivity (network coverage or wifi) for a push notification to come through to your device. Posted 2 years ago |
