If I could add to my RTM list via SMS text message I would be well pleased. I know I will probably be laughed at by all you smart phone users, but hey, its cheap, quick and terse.
Or even if I could be reminded by text messgae...

Two quick suggestions...
1) I don't know what you use for your email, but in Gmail I set up a filter that forwards messages with a certain keyword to my RTM inbox. I use this for a bunch of things, but one use is to send myself an SMS which then winds up in RTM. Whether or not you use Gmail, many mail clients offer similar processing functionality that will let you do this if it sounds like it might work for you.
2) As for text message reminders, I think this is already available... check out:

Jim, as Ran mentioned, SMS reminders are available -- quick instructions on setting this up are here.
It's not currently possible to add tasks via SMS unfortunately, but if your mobile provider allows you to send emails from your phone, you could email tasks into Remember The Milk -- details here.
Hope this helps!

I'm not on T-Mobile or Virgin in the UK - I'm on Vodafone - can I just set my phone number against T-Mobile?
And is there a cost for the SMS messages?
Thanks.

hallam, do you know if Vodafone in the UK supports email-to-SMS? If you can let us know the email to send our reminders to (e.g. for Cingular in the US, it's yourphonenumber@cingularme.com), then we can add it to our supported networks. Unfortunately setting your phone number with another network won't work, as they all have their own email-to-SMS services.
We don't charge anything for the SMS reminders, but your mobile provider may charge you to receive text messages -- you would need to check with them.

Hi Emily,
Orange in the Netherlands supports the following:
international mobilenumber@sms.orange.nl
(i.e. 31612345678@sms.orange.nl)
Everything in the subject will be sent as an sms to the subscriber.
