Hello!
It would really be cool if there would be an option to enable note viewing on the main page, without having to click on the note tab, so I could see the details of the tasks, with the notes together. A pane could be placed between the main task pane and the pane which says "x tasks selected"
Thanks for listening, I hope you implement this,

Another option might be to display the note when you mouse over the note icon in the task list...

I would prefer to see a snippet of the text (maybe 200 characters or so) the main tab and a link to "more..." if the substance of the text warrants it.

says:The recent addition of a note icon is a very useful step, but making the note contents more visible is a longstanding issue here.
Perhaps an 'enhanced' list view with a second line under tasks with notes that had the text from the note visible, grey, and italicized to distinguish it from the tasks themselves?

Yes, it would be a nice addition to be able to "enhance" the view, although personally, I would like that all the time, having an "always view in enhanced mode" setting would be cool.
I would need a full view, not just a snippet, since sometimes I work parallel, with another window open,

My last task list application offered an option to list the notes in line with the task header. I miss that feature. I find it tiresome to have to recall the notes tab whenever I'd like to see the notes associated with a task. Does it have to be an either/or choice?

says:I have a problem with Notes visibility as well. It takes too many clicks/workarounds to view notes on a list of tasks. I would like to see the ability to set the Notes tab as default, so that all notes can be easily seen with a mouseover.
There needs to be a way to review notes without selecting tasks.
This is important for GTD.

Count me too. Notes should be one click away. Right now we have to select task then notes tab. we can as well show note as soon as task is clicked.

Exactly - notes are parts of the task and need to be visible at the same time. Ability to edit notes on-page is almost as important.
On the idea of showing notes on mouse over or something similar. That might add very sophisticated and dynamic look to the page but is very unpractical. User wants to see information right away, not chase it on the page with mouse.

says:yes please and also please add note capabilities as toodledo does.
so we can use Appigo Notebook with RTM, please

Notes on the main Task view is a must. The screen layout should display the notes in a much larger field, instead of the current "tiny little box". Why not make the screen layout a user preference? Toodledo's note display is much superior to RTM's, but since it currently doesn't support Gears.......

says:I would also like to see Task and notes tabs in a separate "window" rather than combined into separated with tabs.

maybe they could be in the sidebar, floating?

that's very simple!
just change the note tab to default, not task info.

says:My problem with notes is that you never remember which tasks you put a note on. I would use the notes profusely if the task somehow denoted that it had a note attached to it.

Yes, please a better way to visualize a note is attached AND easier reading would be awesome.
Thx

says:It would be also good that note icon is more visible (different color, move it to the left near task name)
Sometimes I delete task but I forget that I have some important note attached to it. If its marked in yellow or green it would be more visible
thx
