I personally think that numeric priorities are a bit old fashioned and can be misinterpreted (e.g. is 1 high or is it low?). What would be great is if a user could customise priorities to have any particular label/name and their order. For example, instead of 3, 2, 1 you have low, medium, high or "do later", "do next", "do now" etc. etc. Then the user can customise the what "priority" means to them.
