I have a @hot smart list that has all incomplete items due before tomorrow. When I log in, it would be great to be presented with that list instead of my nearly always empty Inbox.

geoffm33, you can set a default list by going to Settings/Lists -- it can be a Smart List or a regular list. Quick instructions are available here. Hope this helps!
