I searched and saw that it's been requested a lot before, and saw the "we're looking into making this more flexible" replies, but I just wanted to a) throw my vote in for this -- I REALLY want this feature. It would make Remember The Milk SO much more useful! And b) ask when we might be able to expect the added flexibility? I'm sure no date can be offered, but I'm curious if this is just around the corner, or if it's more like many months (or more) down the road.

I would like to see what jsmotta suggested - list-based defaults, and then you can change per task. For example, I'd have my "Personal" list set to email me reminders to my home email address, but on any given task, I could choose a different email address (and a different time frame for the reminder), or (and this is absolutely vital) disable the reminder altogether for that task. (Alternatively, if my list default is set not to send reminders, I should still be able to set a reminder on any individual task.)
