Completed repeating items showing up on mobile device (using Pro)

Even though these repeating items were changed to one time only, and then were completed, and show up no where on my tasks and inbox, they are still showing up in the task list of my Windows Mobile device. I have tried everything I can think of to get rid of them, even changing the Sync setting to RTM to device only but they are still showing up.
