Won't Auto Tag Task Anymore

I used to be able to create new task within a list and have it automatically tag the item based on the list I was using. Now it doesn't work anymore. Any reason why that stopped? It was a very useful feature!

It works in smart lists when the list criteria is un-ambiguous. When you make the smart list criteria more complex, adding thing like OR and NOT, RTM can't figure out all the meta info and gives up altogether, leaving you with a blank task.
