[bug] due date entry (german only?)

steta says:
Here's an interesting and rather harmless bug (or feature):

You can use the date entry (due date) as a day-of-year calculator (well not quite).

Enter an invalid date, such as:
31.02.08, returns: 02.03.2008
another example:
32.02.08 -> 03.03.2008

extreme value:
999.02.08 -> 26.10.2010

now it starts getting interesting:
1000.02.08 -> 08.02.1000 - oh we're inputting yyyy-mm-dd now ;-)
1000.02.100 -> 11.05.1000 - still yyyy-mm-dd(d)

1000.02.2008 -> 01.08.1005 - still yyyy-mm-dd(dd)

what I would expect:
31.02.08 -> incorrect date, corrected to: 29.02.08
32.02.08 -> dito
99.02.08 -> dito
and despite the fact that time travelling is rather difficult, I'd expect:
100.02.08 -> 08.02.100 (dd.mm.yyy)
1000.02.08 -> 08.02.1000 (dd.mm.yyyy)

comments and different views are very welcome ;-)

steta, thanks for reporting this! We'll check this out -- definitely some weirdness going on with those invalid dates.
