dgcombs, most phones allow you to do this but sometimes it can be pretty hidden -- some phones have it as a special character to be inserted, others allow you to press the down arrow, while others require you to hold down another character (such as space) while pressing the down arrow.

I'm not sure how the Samsung works but it might be worth experimenting (if you haven't already) to see if you can find this feature on your phone. If not, please let us know :) Thanks!
