Can a Task be Hidden Until a certain Date?

Sure, I want it to repeat, but more importantly, I need it to be hidden until a certain date.

There may be an "official" way to do it, but I have a smart list that shows me only tasks that are due today, and I work off of that list, but still add all of my tasks to my work list.

There isn't a specific feature that does this, but as Tara suggested, you can use Smart Lists to only show tasks that meet particular criteria.
