RTM for gmail, but turn off on gApps?

I use both simultaneously, but generally use RTM for personal stuff I want to *not* look at while I'm working or I get distracted...

While it's not possible to turn off for an individual account, it will remember your preferences per account -- so you could collapse the tasks pane in the account where you don't wish to see it (by clicking the small arrow on the right of the page). Hope this helps!
