Login from android

I have an account created with Gmail sign on on the web.
But the android app (ape ?) does not recognize my gmail ID and pwd and it does not pass the login screen.
Any one has an idea. It must be very basic and I'm sure i'll feel like a oxe pretty soon.

Currently, logging in with your Google Account is only supported in the web app; for other services, you can log in with your Remember The Milk username and password. (Even if you signed up with your Google Account, you still have a username and password.)

If you forget your username or password, you can receive an email reminder for them here (for username) or here (for password).
