Add task via intent

I've written a small app that will add items to my RTM shopping list by scanning barcodes. To deal with limited network connectivity, I currently just have my app send an email to my RTM task import address with the item name. However, I'd love to take advantage of the android app's sync functionality and just ask it to add the task for me.

Does the android app support any actions via intents? Are there any plans to do so?
