I don't mean to be greedy, but how about all of them? I can't imagine it involves that much work and it'd go a long way toward making sure that paying customers are satisfied with their options. I'm considering becoming a paying customer - trying out the widget right now for 15 days - and I really wish there were 4x2 and 4x1 options.

I think that if they are going to make widget that is full screen or almost full screen, then it should do more than just display tasks. It could allow you too mark them completed

While waiting for it, you guys may try Pure Calendar widget that supports ALL sizes and can display both Calendar and Astrid data. Syncing with Astrid allows to show the data from RtM synced into the calendar data of that widget.

@apoapostolov: Pure calendar is a great widget, perfect for RTM but I don't use Astrid because of its cumbersome task entry. Would be great, if the developer would support the native RTM app.

ADW Launcher doesn't help if you have an HTC device and want to keep "Sense".
+1 for the idea of configurable size. Or at least some 4x? options.

Yeah. I agree I have an HTC Desire and a 4x4 widget would be great, but an customisable sized widget would be even better.

I still think the RTM widget should be more configurable, but...

If you use Launcher Pro as a homescreen replacement, you can resize the 2x2 widget into a 3x2 or 4x2.

You can also resize the 3x3 into a 4x3, but the font is bigger so it's not as useful.

I stopped using the 2x3 and 3x3 widget because of the fact that I didn't find myself using them.
There needs to be a transparent AND white RTM 4x4 widget that efficiently displays many tasks and provides lots of options.

I would like a 4x1 and a 4x2 widget. RTM --> Astrid --> Calendar Pro is very resource intensive (3-way sync!) and not a good workaround.

Launcher pro allows you to stretch the RTM widget to whatever size you like. And as RTM Widget is Top Left aligned works perfectly.

I too am looking for this sort of feature. If it's too cumbersome to have a stand-alone RTM widget for Android, then it would be nice if RTM would open up integration with some of these other Android calendars -- like Pure Calendar or Agenda Widget. Basically, I want to be able to see my tasks and scheduled events for today and the next couple of days all easily lined up on the home screen. Then, if need to update/complete/postpone, click to enter the real RTM application.

I would be hoping for a custom option for size and font as I have just got a new galaxy tab and the widget is not very helpful. font is to large and the task descriptions are truncated.

+1 to fixing access for other widgets like Android Agenda. There are many good agenda widgets with almost unlimited congifuration options out there so why invent one more (that only works with RTM).

I just wanted to post and say that we definitely appreciate the feedback (and this request has been heard :).

We're hoping that we'll be able to give the Android app some more love soon. We're a small team, so unfortunately we've been tied up with iPad app development (which I know is only of interest if you happen to own an iPad!). That app will be out of the way shortly, which will free us up for other mobile stuff. :)

The widget should be a 'HOT' widget, where I can set a property as to which List (or Tag) should be activated upon press.
Gmail has this and is a pleasure to click directly into a Gmail Label page.

Actually the two available widgets are 3 icons wide.
4 icons wide widgets would be more useful, so you can read easily your tasks.
I don't need to put any other icon on its side, I prefer to read them easily.
4x1, 4x2, 4x3, 4x4 would be perfect.

I am using RTM for my own GTD setup. I currenly filled eight 2x2 Android FTM widgets onto two android screens, each screen with 4 widgets at for my GTD smartlists. Read, Write, Call, Email on one screen and Action Home, Action Work, Agenda and Waitfor on another.

When tasks have a due date that leaves something like 10 to 12 characters for task names which is a bit short.

I would love to have 4 widgets at 4x1 instead of 4 widgets at 2x2.

I could probably have two screens with one 4x4 widget for Action Home and Action Work instead of the smaller ones.

Please focus on updating the Android widgets.
