Reminders tailored to each Task

That is, I do not want to be reminded of every task, but would like to select which tasks to be reminded on.
Also, I would like to send some of the reminders jointly to me and my partner, some just to my email, and others just to my SMS (eg shopping ones).

Currently if you have reminders setup, you'll receive them for any task that has a due date. We plan to make reminders more flexible in the future (either on a per list or per task basis).

Per task basis would be supremely useful. Maybe incorporate it into the task info where the date, duration, etc. are located.

Personally, a per list setup would suit me better, but the flexibilty of per task would be good overall. Either way would certainly save me from spamming myself :)

I'll just cast my vote for per task reminders as well, I keep reminders turned off so, as ernal says, I don't keep spamming myself.

I am really eager to start using the service more, but it's basically useless until I can specify the reminder type on a per task basis - I have tons of quick reminders while I'm at work which I'd want an IM for (email would be too cumbersome and it would be too many text messages for me), but also stuff on the weekends or at night while I'm out (I wouldn't receive IMs or emails, but would need a text message). Thanks....

Here's my suggeston. A little more complex to implement, but would probably fit everyone's needs.
Per list defaults, modifiable per task. So, for instance all tasks on my "work" list have reminders set to go to my work email by default, "home" list to the home email, but if 1 is particularly important and I want reminders to go to my phone as well, I can do so. I think that would make most people happy, except maybe the programmer that would have to make it work.
