Attachments and API

vtardia says:
My suggestions are:

- attach an external file to a task (uploaded or linked)
- a public API to use with external programs

Thank you very much, great application!

Vito, thanks for the suggestions!

We'll consider allowing attachments in the future.

We're working on the API :)

We are also very keen on the possibility to add attachments to tasks.

Thanks for a great product!

Yes, linking images or attaching excel docs will make this To-do list complete for me.

Awesome guys! Many Thanks!

I absolutely second that!

I would love to be able to foreward an email with attachment appearing as a note in the task.
That way you can easilly create tasks and have all the stuff right there in your task list.

I LOVE this service. I am using this now for two weeks and cannot imagine living without it anymore!

I really fear the storage impacts this would impose on Emily, and Omar, and RTM. I don't want them having to warehouse all sorts of big files for people.

I copy and paste the URLs to files in my notes, and then jusy go from TRM to the file in a flash... with no need for the file to be on their servers.

That works as well. I do that with gmail. It is two clicks and a gmail search extra. Having the files right there is the best.

I wouldn't want to impose on Emily and Omar. I'm fine either way. I'm sold this this concept already. But if they would go for it, then there is business model in it for them ;)

Just thought I'd mention that we're very open to feedback on other services that people would like Remember The Milk to provide. While we can't promise to develop everything (unless Bob starts helping a lot more), we can promise to seriously consider all suggestions :)

The iphone opens up all sorts of new possibilities with RTM. I would love to be able to attach a photo or voice recording to a note via email. URLs to other servers are not practical on iphone due to typing limitations and lack of cut and paste.
