Estimated task time: Days instead of hours (plus: Atom as reminder?)

hasund says:
1. I know the most speedy GTD'ers wants to break anything into tasks that can be done in a few hours.

However, some of us have larger tasks like "finish a chapter" or "read a book". These are tasks I spend several days on, so the curent estimate measurement (hours) won't do. Of course I could artificially break up these tasks, but this would take up enough time and energy to keep me from using it.

2: Would it be possible to have an alternative feed, where feeds are updated when a list item is due (instead of when it's added)? As the single user of my list, using a feed doesn't make sense if it can't work as reminders.

We envisaged the time estimates as being more useful for shorter timeframes -- so that it would be possible to see how many hours of work you had to complete in a day, and then plan your day around that. If people can see uses for longer time estimates, we'd love to hear feedback :)

Thanks for your suggestion on feeds -- currently feeds are updated when anything is modified, but that's an interesting idea to update when tasks are due.
