Percentage (or part) done

How about adding a field for percentage (or part) done? I sometimes have tasks with steps, but which don't quite fall into separate next actions. It would be helpful to be able to see at a glance when I've previously (or my work partner has) done part of a task - what would suit me best would be something like david seah's emergent task timer's fillable blocks. Would anybody else find this useful?

My take on this - something is either done or not done. Even if it's a project (with multiple steps) it's not done until it's done!

I know alot of the GTD crowd don't like this idea, but I love it and typically do note my progress on a task as a percentage.
