Due Dates

david.hogg says:
Unless I am missing something, when a new task is added, the due date has to be inserted manually in the form "01 Oct 05". for example. This seems rather a lengthy way of proceeding. Would it not be possible to provide a small calendar that opens automatically beside the due date item, thus allowing you to select a date without having to do any typing?
Also, would it not be possible to allow the due date to be changed as a block for all tasks against which there is a tick mark? Thus, for example, if I selected all items whose due date is today, I could then change the due date to some time in the future and I would make the change collectively for all the ticked tasks simultaneously.

This would be useful to me too - especially the pop up calendar

I want the ability to set due dates for multiple items too.

Cool! I figured out a way to set the due date to 'today' on multiple items:

1. Select a bunch of non-dated list items.
2. Press 'p' for postpone.

Wa la, all of the selected items have today as a due date. If you don't care about the "postponed" metric, you can keep pressing p to move the date out a day at a time.

This idea is considered similar to "Calendar picker for due dates", and all votes have been transferred to that idea.
