Subjet line of e-mail reminders

jfch says:
The Remember the Milk e-mail reminder subject line is always the same and not particular descriptive.

Shouldn't the task title be put into the e-mail subject?

The real problem for me is that in email apps like Gmail that thread conversations, all my reminders are treated as a single conversation. It reduces the usefulness of the e-mail reminder.

Each e-mail reminder subject line should be more unique! Please add the task title to the e-mail subject!

Reminder emails can contain multiple tasks.

Gmail should really not thread based on subject, since that rarely makes sense.

I may add a "(Sent on x)" to the email subject, which should be unique.

Hi Omar

Sorry, but I can't let this one lie. lease compare what I get from Backpack and RTM in my inbox:

-= Backpack - Reminder: Kayak followup.....
-= Remember The Milk Reminder - Remember The Milk Reminder: Hi there, this is your friendly Remember The Milk.....

Nothing about the days tasks is visible at first scan at all! I understand that RTM reminders can contain multiple tasks, but how about streamlining it just a little to get rid of some RTM redundancy:

From: Remember The Milk
Subject: Reminder - 2 tasks due tomorrow, 27 Dec
Body: 1. Make the ARM front page I promised I would 2. XMAS: drop AIR walkie talkie CD to John

Adam, I'll bump this one up on our to-do list -- what you've suggested definitely makes sense :)

Just catching up on this - those of us with dumb old cell phones would benefit from this a lot; thanks for moving it up the list.

totally agree with this. good for people who get way too many useless emails and only scan subject line and maybe first line of body.

I too was surprised by the uninformative subject line until I recieved a multiple reminder and then understood the 'problem'. Ideally a single reminder would have the task name as the subject but it's not obvious what should appear in the case of multiple reminders in a single email. Adski's suggestion is the best (well only) suggestion so far.

Happy New Year and thanks for the service.

This idea is considered similar to "Option to have the task name as the email subject (one task per reminder email)", and all votes have been transferred to that idea.
