setting a default due date?

Hi, first of all big thanks for providing such a great service!
My suggestions will all be about making entering tasks quicker. For example, I'd like to be able to specify, in the settings, what I would like the default due date to be. For some, the default could stay what it is currently (i.e. none), but for me (and probably other procrastinators who leave tasks to the last minute) it would be great if I could set it to "today". For one thing, this would make the task immediately show up on the Google Gadget.
There could also be an easier way to modify the due date, using some sort of "+1" and "-1" buttons, which would move the due date back or forth by one day. This way no typing is required!
What does everybody think?

If the default due date would apply to ALL new tasks - it'd be especially useful for emailed or Jotted tasks.

Yeah I totally agree -- having to put in a default due date by hand for every item I add is almost a deal breaker for me in using RTM. Oddly enouhg, the gmail plugin adds a due-date of "today" so I use that as a workaround.

I too would LOVE to be able to add the default due date as today. In fact, I love a lot of the features of the gmail plugin, including it's ability to detect what I want (e.g. if I type "return library books monday" it will add an event on Monday for "return library books." On the other hand, if I do the same thing in the RTM interface, I get an event due "never" called "return library books monday.")
I prefer the RTM native interface, but can't understand why I can't have the same functionality I get in gmail. Could someone (smarter than me) develop a plugin to replicate this functionality int he RTM native interface?
