Hide Tasks

Is there a way to "hide" tasks until they are due? I know that if I click on "Due Today" everything that is due gets a checkmark, but I'd love a way to hide them and/or choose how many days ahead I want to view the tasks.
Also, is there a way to "see" all the tasks for "today" without going into each tab to see if I have something that needs to be done today?

Aha! I found something..."Overview" does this...almost. Is there a way to have the task be clickable from the "Overview" screen?
Could a list column be added to the Overview screen? I know which list it belongs with, but as my tasks grow for today, I might want to work harder on tasks from specific lists first.

I am interested in the original request, or some solution that shows me a total estimated time for tasks due today. Currently, the total estimated time is for all tasks on a list (which is obviously very useful) but I'd like to be able to see at a glance whether I've overcommitted myself for today.
