MCP OAuth fails before sign-in — “Redirect URIs must use HTTPS”

Problem: The connector shows needs authentication, but no auth card appears. Sign-in never starts; the error is:
Redirect URIs must use HTTPS (except loopback addresses)

Tried: Exact URL above; removed and re-added the MCP server once — same error. Endpoint is reachable (auth-required responses). Notion and Google Calendar MCP in the same app work fine.

Is this a known redirect-URI issue for some MCP hosts, or is there a required setup for Grok Bot / Cursor-style clients?

Since writing it, I have continued using RTM intensively. That experience has only reinforced my view that its core remains exceptionally well suited to my workflow. What has become harder to accept is not that the four points I raised remain unresolved, but that there has been no indication whether they are being considered at all.

I do not expect firm dates, public commitments or every request to be accepted. A clear "not planned" would be more useful than silence because it would let customers make informed decisions. Even "we are looking into this, but cannot promise anything" would at least show that the feedback has been heard.

The MCP connection problems are frustrating, and falling back to a nine-year-old unofficial CLI is hardly what I would expect from a modern paid service. But these are also examples of the larger issue: users cannot tell which parts of RTM are being maintained, improved or deliberately left as they are.

My Pro renewal decision is due this month. I genuinely want to renew, and this is not intended as a threat to leave. But after around 15 years as a paying Pro customer, I think it is reasonable to ask for some visible direction and for RTM to invest in enough development capacity to remain current.

Could someone from the RTM team please respond to the substance of the four points above, even if the answer to some of them is no? A direct answer would do more for my confidence than another general assurance that new things are coming.

Task assignment does not work

I keep running into the problem that I can't reliably assign tasks (this affects both the Android app and the web app).

My goal is to assign a task to a team member. After reloading the page, the task remains assigned to me, and the intended recipient does not receive a notification about the task. A time-consuming workaround is to duplicate the task. Unfortunately, this copies the notes in reverse order.

Is there a solution for this bug?

Ticket not handled for 10 days

What should I do if my ticket is ignored? I submitted it 10 days ago and haven't heard anything back. I'm a pro user and it's an issue with my subscription, not a nice-to-have request.

I agree with @tomkenobi. MCP has been a game-changer already. I recognize it's still a beta/preview but it's been down for several days now, with no acknowledgement whatsoever.

I am seeing the same 503 and authentication failure.

The MCP has become part of my daily workflow, so this is no longer just an outage of an experimental extra. It would help if RTM acknowledged MCP incidents promptly, included the service on the official status page and confirmed when it has been restored.

I do not expect an immediate fix or a precise ETA. A short confirmation that the problem is known would already stop users from repeatedly troubleshooting their own clients and authentication setups.

The MCP is one of RTM's most promising additions in years. Reliable operation and basic incident communication are necessary if users are expected to trust it as operational infrastructure.

It's not working for me in Claude, Cowork and Code. Can't reauthorize it either.
