Buggy Dutch translation

one111one1one11 Pro says:

I find the Dutch translation to be very buggy. I've translated several Mac applications in the past (and still do), and the Dutch RTM translation annoys me. For example, in the RTM translations I see 'Verplaats Naar...' while another sentence says 'Verzenden naar...' First sentence is written as 'I do...' while the second says 'WE do...'

This is VERY ugly and I am looking forward to doing a more 'matching' translation, but I'm not sure RTM is saving my translations properly. I have contributed several corrections but aren't seeing any changes, nor am I seeing a message that tells me RTM has been informed or what is going on with the corrections.

Could someone do a follow-up on this that declares what is actually happening to the corrections?

It seems that it could take some time (hours/days?) before an updated translation takes effect.

one111one1one11, thanks for helping to correct translations. We approve the corrections manually each day, so you should see the changes in the translation system as soon as they're approved.

The changes go live to the website the next time we update (usually every week or so).

Hope this helps!

Hey nine-ones,

I found it buggy also, did some translations before the holidays to make them more consistent, but it's still a mess (at least, it was two weeks ago). How are things looking now, do I need to help out?

I would like to ask you guys to leave me at it for a few weeks so I can find enough time to make everything as consistent as it should be. Suggestions are ofcourse welcome but please don't modify the lines. I'm working from top to bottom and if somebody changes anything in the top part while I'm at the middle, everything could still go wrong and it wouldn't make sense for me to do this.

Does everyone agree on this?

(While we're at it: every line needs its own number so it's easier to see where to continue. This is for RTM's side)

Thanks for your help anyway, guys. Please take a look at the top translations and write in the same style. Don't forget to use the same terms!

Right, before you begin, I did some modifications, about 50 or so yesterday. They haven't been 'approved' yet, but it would be a waste not to take them into account. So if anyone can please approve my changes? Or at least communicate them to one111one1one11?

Right now there are no pending corrections, so everything has been approved and will show in the translation system (but may not be showing on the live site yet). Hope this helps!

it seems like a lot of stuff has been promoted to the 'live' site. Things are looking good, I think.
