"{NUM} due today" -- singular/plural problem

timsk says:

Another singular/plural problem -- I expect you've only got one string for the above, without a separate "1 due today" string, because "due" doesn't change in English.

Unfortunately it does change for singular/plural in Esperanto (and French, and no doubt many other languages), so a "singular only" version of the phrase is needed, and the help text for this one should make clear that it's plural only.

Of course, all the above goes out of the window if you get any Slavic or Arabic translations (and no doubt others too), where nouns have at least three different forms depending on number...

We don't have every variation in the translation system, as not all languages are affected (and those that are may have different variations that need to be translated). However, we are handling declension specially for each language that's affected.

(We've tried to keep the number of strings to a minimum, but unfortunately I know that it doesn't cover every possibility for all languages.)

If you're able to translate a string like this using the plural, and then let us know the singular translation via email, then we can handle this on our end. Sorry for the hassle -- hopefully there won't be too many affected strings! (Strings with zero are already in the translation system e.g., "0 due today".)

We should probably look at a way that translators can indicate in the translation system if they would like to provide variations of a translation due to number etc -- we'd still need to handle things manually on our end, but it would make it much easier to provide the translations :)

Here you go then, for Esperanto:
"{0, 2, 3, 4, 5....} due today" = "{NUM} finotaj hodiaŭ"
"1 due today" = "1 finota hodiaŭ"

Cheers.
