halloleo says:I'll get to many task during my day just by going through RTM smart lists with strings like "due:Today". However some tasks are very important and I want an explicit reminder about them.
RTM offers reminders for different types of tasks: Tasks with a due-DAY and tasks with a due-TIME. I use this distinction to control which tasks to get reminded of:
In the settings screen I tick the "At the time the task is due" checkbox, while I untick the "On the day the task is due" checkbox.
Then I still can use the due-field to structure my lists by day: Most of my tasks get due-days like "tomorrow" or "monday" and my main working lists show only items for today (by a smartlist string like "not dueAfter:today 11:59pm").
The few tasks I want explicit reminders about I give a fixed due-time and - voila! - I get a reminder at that specific time. Posted at 9:01am on February 6, 2010 |
