Helping prioritize

riverjack says:
I've recently been using RTM to help me with my task priority by separating tasks into four quadrants: urgentandmoreimportant, urgentandlessimportant, noturgentandmoreimportant, noturgentandlessimportant. They're long tags, but since the quick add bar auto fills, it's really a matter of typing a few characters and hitting an arrow key.

Now when I have time set aside to work on my noturgentandmoreimportant task (for who doesn't want to work on those but never seems to have time?) I can click on the tag and just work on that list. Likewise, the urgentandmoreimportant tag helps me be sure I'm taking care of the essential tasks for the day.

I do sort of the same thing, I just use 1, 2, 3 and 4 in the beginning of each task. That way they are always sorted by importance. It works quite well :-)
