Hi,
I wonder whether RTM allows for monitoring of a delegated task.
I would like to delegate tasks to my team (I suppose I should 'send' a task?) - then - is it possible to see that is was completed by my collegues?
Now I can see this feature is not supported.. or should I 'share' a task with a collegue who will tick it 'done' when its done? This could be eventually ok, but you could imagine a situation when he just cancels the task.. and erases it from the list..
what would you recommend for a more vertical structure of organisation?

Yes, sending tasks would be the most appropriate action in this case (unless shared responsibility is more appropriate).
You can see when someone completes a sent task by looking in your Sent list and viewing completed tasks. The date completed and the person who completed it will be listed there.
