daily needed time for all! tasks for the day
1. Daily or regular tasks: Repeat: "every 1 day"... (use every)
2. Tag all daily tasks: (tag=daily)
3. Give all repeating tasks an estimated time
4. Create a smart list:
a list that shows you daily repeated plus overdue, plus special tasks of the day:
tag:daily OR dueBefore:today OR due:today
Now you get the total time you need for all these tasks for this list on the right side, when your smart list is opened.
I like this total time estimation.

Great Tip! As an add on to your post, I do something similar with Monthly and Seasonal Chores. First I created separate lists for Daily, Weekend, Monthly and Seasonal Chores. After entering time estimate for each chore, I was able to see the total amount of time I needed to spread out of the month. Divide by 4 and voila! Chores are easily spread out throughout every month. No more marathon cleaning, mattress flipping weekends!

to clarify, divide by 4 or 12 respectively.
