Fast Input for tasks using Textexpander & Breevy Snippets

jans.roeber says:
For the fast entry of task via email I've created a snippet called "rrtm" in Textexpander (Mac) and Breevy(PC) that opens a form to be filled out as a system-wide shortcut.
The form provides all relevant fields to be filled out in order to create a task in RTM. For Textexpander the snippet looks like this:
%fill:Task% at %fill:DayDate% 9am !1 *weekly =15min #%fill:context%

The string "9am !1 *weekly =15min" is to be either deleted or overwritten with the applicable data.

Dude.

I use textexpander quite a bit, but you've majorly schooled me on it. I didn't even know you could create a form like that, let alone make it a "user friendly" interface. I will spend my weekend altering this technique to fit my personal RTM needs.

You sir, are a steely-eyed missile man. I commend you.

I'd suggest the following:

Due: %fill:DayDate% 9am
Repeat: Every Week
Tags: %fill:context%
---

The name of the Task would be the subject of the email.

Hi Jans,

Great tip! I just wanted to let you know that you're this week's Tips & Tricks Tuesday winner. We've upgraded your RTM account to have a free year of Pro. :)

Hi Emily, thank you so much for winning that one year of pro-membership.
I love RTM and hope that I could help some people using RTM even more effectively.
RTM is an awsome product!
Cheers,

Jans

+1

Make the RTM iPhone app TextExpander-enhanced. Make it an option (in the Settings) to use a TextExpander database, the snippets, made with the TextExpander app.

( Other apps doing the same: http://smilesoftware.com/TextExpander/touch/apps )

I'm going to see if I can get AutoHotkey to work like this.

@ovanrijswijk: I suggested this more than a year ago, but you can now vote on it:

Or just wait for iOS5 which has similar functionality built into the OS!
