Unfortunately Remember The Milk doesn't currently support shifting timezones, so you may notice that your due dates don't match if you travel between timezones and don't update all your devices.

Can you check to make sure all timezones have been updated to Egypt, including the timezone setting in your Remember The Milk account? This can be found under Settings > General in the web app.

i am now not in moscow, im in egypt. and the tasks in rtm site online are ok with outlook. everything correct.
but in iphone one task for ecample has 28 april finish date (in outlook and in rtm site), but in iphone 27.
and if i postpone the task in iphone, it nothing change in rtm site or outlook.

The iPhone app doesn't automatically remove tags when all of the associated tasks are gone the way the web app does, and there's no setting to change this, sorry.

If you have a lot of old tags, it may be easiest to use the Reset function of the app. This will clear all the data from the iPhone app and download a fresh copy of your tasks from our servers, including only the tags that exist in the web app.

Deleted tags still show on iPhone tag list

Tags deleted on the web app still appear in the tags list on my iPhone. Tried reloading the page on the web app, exiting and restarting th iPhone app, but they're still there.

Someone reported the same problem on the Android phone a few years ago (https://www.rememberthemilk.com/forums/android/8290/), but the "solution" posted was to delete the tags on the iPhone manually.

That may technically be a "solution," but hey, my iPhone is supposed to stay in sync with my web app, right? That's why I paid to upgrade to Pro.

Is there a setting I can change so that tags deleted on the web app will automatically be deleted from my iPhone, or am I stuck with the manual solution?

I also noticed this a few times lately. Today, I had quite a few issues with the iphone app picking up quite a few changes (tasks which I had completed on the website). I noticed the totals between iphone and web were also off by a few. Logging out resolved it but wondering what the above solution was.

Been using RTM for a long time on IOS. I turn on Badgeapp icons so I can see how many tasks I have today.

However since changing to a new iPhone I am unable to get the badgeapp icon to change count when completing a task from the webinterface.

- I tried resetting the RTM App on my iPhone
- I tried disabling Reminders for all iPad/iPhone devices under Settings->Notifications in the web interface. (I have 6 Apple devices registered).

The badgeapp number gets updated correctly when entering the RTM app on my iPhone and letting it sync.

It is possible to do relative searches (such as dueAfter:"1 hour from now") but these relative references with dueAfter: always look into the future. "1 hour ago", like you mentioned, is not currently supported, sorry.

dueBefore:now AND dueAfter:"today at 3:00pm"

This will show you all tasks due after 3:00 today and will exclude tasks that aren't due yet. Completed tasks will be included too, so be sure to check the completed view as these may have issued a reminder notification too.

Multiple iPhones in Reminders configuration

I was updating my Reminders settings today and noticed that I have two (2) iPhones listed as accepting reminders. They're indistinguishable except for the hashes (device IDs?).

I suspect one of them is an old iPhone. Is there a way to remove the old one? I would not want someone to receive reminder notifications if I sold / eBay'd the phone.

If the task has already synced to your device, the notification should open to it directly. However, if the task hasn't yet synced to your device (e.g. you added it in the web app or elsewhere, not in the iPhone app, and haven't used the iPhone app since then) then it doesn't open to it directly.

I've added this to our list to investigate; sorry for the inconvenience.

Additionally, this only has the potential to work when the notification is for a single task, so a notification for multiple tasks due at a specific time or a daily reminder won't open to any single task.

It's not currently possible to configure reminders for individual tasks, sorry. Your reminder settings apply to all tasks.

However, you are able to receive reminders for specific tasks when they have a due time. For example, if you've created a task due "tomorrow at 3pm", you can receive a reminder for that task at 2:30 by enabling reminders "30 minutes before the task is due".

Other thing, I have an Iphone 5. When the phone is locked and notification pops up if I'm trying to unlock the phone it redirects me to the app. Can I cancel it?

Syncing again does not help. The only way to fix it is by logging out and logging back in.

Our iOS apps don't have a similar "Share page" function, sorry.

One trick that may be helpful, though, is to use Safari's built-in Twitter integration. If you're using Twitter on your iPhone, and you've connected your Twitter account to your Remember The Milk account (you can find out how to do that here), tapping the Share button in Safari and then selecting Twitter will let you send a tweet with the URL. Make sure your tweet is a direct message to @rtm by entering d rtm and you'll create a task in Remember The Milk.

well actually I don't use multiple accounts in Outlook - just my work account. the private accounts sits in gmail.

having a lot of different task categories, I actually don't see a way to sync both accounts without messing things up :)

It should work just fine to use multiple email accounts in Outlook alongside MilkSync for your tasks. The only consideration there is that MilkSync only synchronizes your tasks from the Tasks folder in your primary account, so (assuming that's your Exchange account) you'll want to make sure you add any tasks under your Exchange account to get them to sync.

I'm not sure why your reminder settings would have changed in the web app, but that definitely sounds like it could be causing the problem for you.

If you'd like to test your reminders, you could set a test task due in 2 minutes; that would be sent as a push notification to your iPhone. You may want to try enabling another reminder method too (email, IM, SMS) to test reminders if you're still not seeing them.

New to Remember The Milk and already found the forums? Good stuff. :) I wrote you back by email when we got your question, but I'll respond here too… perhaps others could find it useful as well!

Sync without Pro is limited to one manual sync every 24 hours. With Pro, sync happens automatically when you make changes in the web and the app.

Siri works without Pro, but tasks are added to the web app (so reminders are sent, etc.); they wouldn't appear in the iPhone app itself until the next manual sync. With Pro, the sync would happen whenever you open the app.

You can receive reminders via email, IM, and SMS. With Pro you can also get reminders via push notifications to the app itself.

It's not possible to undo a sync, sorry. This may have happened if the app were restored from your computer to your iPod touch and then synced when the Remember The Milk app opened the next time.

To prevent this from happening in the future, it may be worthwhile to make sure the app isn't synced from your computer to your iPod touch. (This would happen when restoring from a backup, for example.) If you do restore from a backup or similar, you can always remove the app and reinstall it on your device from the App Store. Then, logging in and syncing would download your tasks directly from the server.

To sync the iPhone app, tap on the sync icon (the 2 arrows forming a circle) in the lower left corner of the app.

The web app will automatically reflect any changes that you sync from the iPhone app, so you won't ever need to worry about syncing the web app manually.

When you sync the app, tasks are transferred in both directions: changed made in the web app are pulled onto your iPhone, and changes from the iPhone app are uploaded to our servers. There is no waiting period for tasks after you create them.

Even an unexpected feature; if you sync Reminders with RTM (via webdav, as per instructions on https://www.rememberthemilk.com/services/siri/ ) , and you select during an incoming call 'remind me in 1 hour', you'll get a "call back " in RTM . Unfortunately, in my case the reminder time is 3 hours instead of 1. Might be some timezone issue.

The only result: the iPhone app says (when trying to sync again): next sync possible in 23h, 58min. So obviously there was a sync.
Is there a certain period I have to wait after creating tasks before being able to sync them? Is it possible to pull tasks created at the PC to the mobile device by pressing the sync-button on the mobile?

Tasks showing up on wrong day

On my iphone, i am seeing tmrw's tasks showing up in today. Basically my web tasks are out of sync with the iphone apps. THings that have been completed on the web app show as overdue on the iphone app because it is not updating. i have hit refresh on my iphone several times. any ideas why?

There are a few pieces of data that relate to the app itself that are left when you reset the app (which is available in the app's Settings), so we generally suggest just reinstalling it. There's not much advantage to just resetting it anyhow; the app's Settings are also reset, so those would need to be customized again anyhow.

Thanks - deleting the app and reinstalling seems to have fixed it. Just for curiosity is there a reason why you can't just signout of the iPhone app and be able to sign in again. I think this would have solved the issue rather than having to delete/remove app and find in appstore again and redownload

Any reason why I have duplicated tasks showing on my account this coming Monday? When I log in browser my tasks for that day show as normal. I don't want to start deleting the duplicate tasks as they are all set to repeat and if I choose to stop repeat for the duplicated task I'm worried my genuine tasks will be also affected and stop repeating.

Currently you can clear the highlight by changing views (e.g. switching from This Week to Today, switching to a different list), which then unselects any tasks.

Time Zone Problem

I would reply to the other threads but they were all closed. This is really frustrating problem and I was curious if it is still a priority. It was mentioned as being a possible future improvement over 3 years ago.

Being able to support pro users who travel without having due dates get all screwed up seems like such a core feature of such an otherwise solid task app.

Whether it be an option to have the mobile apps always behave as if it's in the user's account setting's timezone or fix the back end handling to only care about the date when a user doesn't specify a time it's been frustrating as a user to have to deal with this shortcoming for so long!

I know that this overly simplifies the work that would be needed to fix this but I'm hoping it is a priority!

Show inbox on launch

Not sure what everyone thinks of the new UI on the iPhone but I've found it a bit frustrating. My issue is that on the old UI I could launch the app, and it would go directly to my inbox. I could very quickly swipe out/postpone what I had/hadn't done. It was quick and painless. With the new app, I launch it, it always forces me to pick a list to view then it's a case of tapping and holding to complete/postpone which just doesn't feel smooth or quick in the slightest. I appreciate it has to be this way to have the tile-based UI, but it just doesn't feel smooth to me.

Looking through the settings, I can't seem to find a way to change the default view on launch (so I instantly see my inbox when the app loads), is this the case or am I missing something? If not, would it be possible to see this ability added in?

Currently, logging in with your Google Account is only supported in the web app; for other services, including the iPhone and iPad apps, you can log in with your Remember The Milk username and password. (Even if you created your Remember The Milk account with your Google Account, you still have a username and password.)

If you forget your username or password, you can receive email reminders for your username and your password.

You can certainly add a task that's due in a half hour. You'll be reminded of it according to your Reminders settings.

Keep in mind that reminders in the iPhone app are only available as a feature in the Pro edition of the app.

tap and hold is much harder while walking or on the move. I typically used the phone to complete many tasks in a row, and find that much slower or harder than before. Adding tasks seems slightly slower.

I find myself using the app a lot less now than I did before, waiting instead till I'm at a PC.

Is there a way to revert back to the old app? I acknowledge there would be no tech support, etc. if you're running an old version.

Our iOS apps do provide reminders via Push Notification, and these reminders will integrate with the iOS Notification Center. However, this feature is only available with the Pro edition of the app, so you won't be able to receive these reminders without upgrading.

Other reminder methods (email, SMS, etc.) are available to all users, even without an upgrade.

RTM iOS App Notifications??

Does the app not provide banner notifications on the iPhone via the app, or are notifications only sent from the web app via text, e-mail etc? I enabled RTM in my iPhone's Notification Center, but still no luck.

Unfortunately, I already used my one "complimentary" sync today, and added the events directly to my phone after the sync. I'm hoping the app can notify me via a banner message in addition to sending a notification from the web app, but so far I haven't been able to figure out how to make this happen.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Yes, Pro's auto-syncing would make a difference here. The changes your employee is making aren't immediately syncing to the web app, so they're not appearing for you instantly. (You could test how this would work by having him make a few changes and then manually sync.)

You can purchase Pro for him by sending him a gift account. Hope that helps!

Your employee can accept any lists you share with him via the web app. Then they'll appear in the app.

Sharing Tasks & Notes via iPhone

I have set up folders to share tasks with an employee. I have a PRO account and they do not. When they log a new task or create a note through the ONLINE version of RTM, I see it instantly. But when they log a new task or note via their iPhone app, I do NOT see it. They use the iPhone app the majority of the time.

Since the PRO account has auto-syncing would this allow me to see changes to our 'shared' folders and tasks if he also has a PRO account? If so, would I be able to purchase this for him?

The Atom feeds was something I suggested as a workaround in our discussion of a way to determine when a note had been updated. As Brendan mentioned, there's no way within Remember The Milk to be notified directly of just an update to a note.

It's not possible to disable "Any time" as the default setting for due dates. However, rather than using the Picker, it may be quicker to use the Custom field and type the date and time manually. You can find some acceptable date and time formats here.

The Smart Add shortcuts available in the web app are also available in the iPhone app. To use these, add a new task by tapping on the "Add Task" at the top of any task list.

default for entering time on iPhone

Is there a way to make any of that my default? Is there a shortcut for entering on the iPhone as there is on the computer version?

I hate how long it takes to add a task's time while on the go. Help....

It was a problem about a year and a half ago and then it seemed to get fixed in a release. However I noticed that it has risen its ugly head again in the latest update. For me, it is only my repeating tasks that duplicate. I have not had any non-repeating tasks show up as duplicates.

Cannot delete old iphone from my account

I had to replace my iphone 4s and now both iphones are listed in my account in the reminders tab. I cannot find a way to delete the old phone. The little trashcan icon does not appear beside it like it does for an email address. I logged out and deleted the RTM app from the old iphone, but it is still listed as one of my "details". I did turn off reminders for the old phone, but I would like to delete it. Any help?

The iPhone app includes a built-in "This Week" view which shows tasks for the upcoming week and omits tasks that don't have a due date. You can navigate to other views using the buttons on the left side of the screen.

i use 'duplicate task' in the 'more actions' menu very often on the web, but i recently became an ipod app user. The way i duplicate tasks is part of somebody's scheme, i forget which. But it's like:

but thingy.
duplicate.
mark original complete.
edit new one to say "install it"
duplicate
mark original complete.
edit new one to say "doesnt work, return"
duplicate
mark original complete.
edit new one to say "make sure i get my money"
etc

This works very well for me, but i dont see a way to do this in the ipod app, except to edit the task, copy its text, complete it, make new task, paste. And that doesnt get notes or tags.

Its not important to me. Most of my locations task can be done at multiple locations, take groceries, I can buy the same foods at multiple chains in the area, so location wouldn't help. But there are one-offs like getting an item at a specific store. However, usually I'll say "I need to get this item and therefore I must go to this specific store" , so the only time I'll be near the location is when I'm there to complete a task, anyway.

Notes Not Syncing in iPhone App

I have a few tasks that contain more than one note. I've recently noticed that RTM either doesn't sync any of the notes associated with the task or only some of the notes.

For instance, I have a task with three notes. Earlier today, no notes displayed. As of a few minutes ago, only two of the three notes are synced.

All three notes are accounted for when viewing RTM via the website.

Any suggestions?

The reminders you see in the iOS Notification Center are what was sent from Remember The Milk as a push notification. Once those are sent, there is no way to "edit" them (like when you complete a task); you can clear the reminders manually by tapping the X on the right, however.

I have 3 tasks which I marked as "done" (or "finished" or whatever - I use the German localization).
On the web as well as in the iPhone-app these 3 tasks do not show up in my lists. All is fine.

But: They are always listed in the iPhone's notifications (when I swipe from top to bottom on the screen). When I click on one of them I end up in RTM's today-list. But of course you cannot see that task there.

Does anyone know how to get rid of those zombies? I marked them in the web-interface as "active" and then marked them on the iPhone as "done" - no help.

App Badge adding Task #s

After the current update to RTM iOS 2.0 I am getting App Badge Counts that are wrong. Invariably I have 3 (the number doesn't matter) tasks due but the app badge shows 4 (always adds one). Then when I go in and check it out and see, the number is really three and when I go out of the app and look, the App Badge shows 3. After an hour or so, it shows 4 again.

This is a minor issue, but why is it adding tasks to my list - as if I don't have enough to do already!!!! LOL. Just thought you should know.

It is pretty slick in appearance and performance is great on my iPhone 4S. It does seems like you need to do more swiping than before to get things done.

Everyone is going to have a different idea on how this should work, personally, I switch lists, add tasks, and view task the most often, so reserving space for the toolbar and then having tasks take the rest of the space would be optimal for me.

The task list itself should popup when I need it( using the toolbar ) and be invisible otherwise.

As I get used to the new interface, my opinion may change :]

Duplicates in iphone app

I missed the swipe-to-complete, too -- what they've replaced it with is tap-and-hold, then the "Complete" button comes up on the task list. If you want "postpone", instead, you do tap-and-hold-and-then-slide-finger-up to get the "postpone" button.

That doesn't work when I try it. I slide the details card off the stack and the task stays highlighted in yellow. Even completing a different task leaves the original task yellow-highlighted. Actually COMPLETING the yellow-highlighted tasks seems to clear the highlight (obviously) and leave nothing else yellow-highlighted.

For my part, I love the update. The responsiveness of the app is incredible; I haven't seen any slowness or even hesitation as I navigate through it.

Nice upgrades as well with the search screen (and saving searches), and seeing the entire task name - great touches that I was really hoping for but didn't expect.

Lastly, I think the press & hold for "complete" to show up (or postpone) is nicely done.

The yellow highlight indicates which task's details are displayed on the next card. You're able to remove the yellow highlight by sliding the task details card to the right and off the stack.

IMHO the yellow highlight is confusing.

A clicked task made yellow-highlighted should be operated on by the "Edit" button exclusively (maybe other ways, too?) since that task is selected. Also, touching a yellow-highlighted task again should toggle the yellow. Neither of these things are true.

The edit button just makes everything check-able like always and creates blue highlights, which I understand and which toggle correctly.

You can't un-highlight the yellow once you have highlighted any one task. The screen opens with no highlights yet after an initial selection, you can't un-highlight.

Net, net I see no benefit to the yellow highlighting as implemented and its state behavior is inconsistent with a selection metaphor. The blue highlights do make sense and communicate selection.

First impressions are good - but there is one feature which appears to be missing in the new interface, which is the ability to swipe a task - then complete it. That was the most used feature for me. I would like to see the ability to swipe a task, then get a "Complete" & "Delete" option. I will check the idea submitted by action.manager and vote for that as it seems I am not the only one who liked that feature of the old interface. Otherwise great work...

Seeing tasks on the right makes the display cluttered, landscape mode in particular is pretty much useless. That format was ok with the iPad as the aspect ratio is more square. I would drop the iPad style landscape display and give us an alternate view, maybe a matrix style display of tasks by day, with the days of the week running across the top with the number of tasks by list / location / tag shown in columns below (so I can see how many personal tasks I have on Thursday vs work tasks for example).

It looks great except...why does the stack on the far right need to be always visible? It gives all the screens where you're browsing through lists such a cluttered look. You can already see the number of tasks that there are within a list, so can't it just disappear and only pop up when you click upon a list (same as when you click upon a task).

Other than that, an icon to show there being a note within an action would be great (same as the web app).

Still, a great update overall. I especially love the clean look of the "Today" list, and the "This Week" overview.

This new version of the app is really awesome! The interface works fine on the iPad. Good to have it now on the iPhone. So, congratulations on this release. It must have required much development time and testing time.

I hope to see back a number of the features in the webapp. While it is important that the efficiency of the webapp is not loss of the beautiful frivolities of IOS.

Looks good, it will take a few days of use to get a proper feel for it but seems like it's nicely appropriated the iPad design and the new features are great.

One thing I was hoping for would be the ability to customise the main 3 lists from week, today & tomorrow to some of my own smart lists but maybe that is something for 3.1 ;)

Internally, when a due date is set in one timezone, the task will be due at the start of that day (i.e. midnight) in that timezone. Thus, when viewing your tasks from a different timezone, even just an hour off, the incorrect date will be displayed.

If you'd like to, you should be able to correct this by resetting the due dates on your tasks, i.e. simply editing the due date and pressing Enter should suffice. Keep in mind that you may need to do that twice then, as you'd need to reverse any changes once you return to your home timezone.

There is no logical reason not to show multiple lines. If people don't want multiple lines, you can either program it as an option, or the users can create shorter names for their tasks.

Hold up a Droid phone next to the iPhone with an account that has long task names. The Droid looks great. The iPhone looks unreadable and practically useless.

Please fix asap and I'll happily sign up for a pro account. At this point, my wife (with the iPhone) refuses to use RTM on her phone. :(

iPhone app versus Android app

I love how MY list shows as many lines as it takes for long task titles, as well as the date due, the list name, and the hash tags assigned to each task.

My wife's iPhone simply shows one line of text for tasks (which most of our go beyond), which makes them fairly worthless without tapping each one to see the full description.

It also only shows the list that the task belongs to, but does not show the tags associated with the task.

The point is that, for long task names, the Android app seems usable. The iPhone does not.

Unfortunately our tasks cannot have short names like "Take out trash" or "Buy Milk". Color me complicated, but that's where the Android app knocks it out of the park.

Is there a setting that I can't find that will make the iPhone show multiple lines of text for tasks, as well as showing the tags?

I was going to upgrade to Pro, but the differences between the apps is a deal killer for me. Please help! :)

This happened to me too. I haven't used the iphone app in a long while, when I opened it today there were lots of tasks from 2011 which were completed. I often use the iPad app and web interface. I reset the iphone app and things synced up okay. I will keep an eye on this and submit a trouble ticket if it happens again.

That red circle is called an app badge. You can set yours in the app's Settings to "Tasks Due Today", which will show you the count of all tasks due today (and it updates in the background, e.g. if you add or complete a task from the web or elsewhere).

Subscribing to all lists failed; subscribing to a single list works

Finally did get RTM events to show up in iPhone 4s Calendar, and not sure what I did wrong in my first try.

Initially tried to subscribe to "iCalendar Events Service (All Lists)" per instructions (as I understood them) and nothing showed up in the Calendar. (In Safari I browsed to the Info page in RTM Settings, copied the iCalendar Events Service URL, pasted it into the proper Settings field on the phone.)

I deleted the subscription from Settings and subscribed instead to my default list, which is my only "real" list - all my other lists are smart lists.

(So my default list is inbox; it's also my only real list; I have an "all tasks" smart list which matches anything and is redundant to my default inbox list, but would not be redundant if I started to use multiple real lists; and then I have several smart lists.)

Is there a reason why, given the way I have RTM set up, subscribing to all lists would fail, but subscribing to my sole real (and default) list would work?

I also was able to successfully subscribe to my "all tasks" smart list.

There would be a limitation in iOS preventing location warnings from working unless you had opened Remember the Milk since adding them so that they could be synced to and set on your device. This could cause some confusion, particularly since it's different from time-based reminders, which are basically push notifications and are therefore sent from the RTM servers at the appropriate time. The built-in Reminders app doesn't have this issue, since of course Apple allows its own apps to sync in the background whether they've been opened or not.

IMHO the current Android implementation of location reminders isn't really as useful as it should be, and I would hope that if this comes to the iPhone it's tweaked. On my Android device, I get location-based notifications regardless of whether there is anything to actually *do* at that location, making the feature virtually useless for me, since I would want it to trigger on locations that i might regularly visit but wouldn't regularly have things to actually do at. False alarms are worse than NO alarms, IMHO, because you basically train yourself to ignore them.

Another tip is that you can add something to Siri using the verb "Remember" instead of "Remind me" if you want it added without a due date/time.

So "Remember to Buy Milk" will add a no-date/no-time reminder, without prompting you for additional information. "Remind me to Buy Milk" will ask for a due date and time (you can still say "No time" but that's an extra step).

That's correct; tags created on the device will not sync unless there are tasks associated with them. The same happens when there are no longer tasks associated with the same tag; it will remain on the device but will be hidden from the web app.

Yesterday, I upgraded from my 3GS to a new 4S. The app has been working fine in general, but I can't get notifications to show up.

I tried the steps listed on the page below, but no dice:

Note that I had previously had iPhone reminders turned off on your web page because I preferred SMS reminders on the old phone (I didn't have reliable data coverage). Now, I've removed the SMS configuration, but the iPhone reminders setting doesn't have a remove or update link, and I think it's still using the old phone's ID.

I also found this old forum post with a very similar issue, but that guy said it "just worked" eventually. I just don't know how long "eventually" was... :)

In case it's significant, I also happened to upgrade the RTM app version as I migrated stuff over to the new 4S. I did a "fresh install" (not a backup-restore style migration), so I don't think stale app data is to blame.

The "Remember The Milk" list in Reminders is responsible for pushing tasks to your Remember The Milk account. Once the tasks have been transferred, they won't be available in Reminders anymore, so this list will always be empty.

While the list in Reminders is empty, the task will be available in your Remember The Milk account and you should be able to see it in the iPhone app, for example, after you sync.

- in the web app, open Settings, then Reminders
- turn off iPhone or iPad reminders
- wait for confirmation that they've been turned off at the top of the page
- turn them back on

I'm experiencing a similar issue since one or two weeks : either no push notification received at all or (for some of them) received several hours late.
Resetting the application did not change anything. As push notifications for other applications are working fine, it really looks like a server issue.

The badge indicator is still working and updating normally.

Follow-up Question: If the RTM CalDav account is used to create tasks from within the built-in Reminder.app then why is it that if you go into the Reminder.app after creating an event, the newly created event almost instantly disappears. The result is I have 2 lists in there (Remember The Milk & Completed) that are always empty!

It's not currently possible to add events to the iPhone Calendar app and have them sync to Remember The Milk, sorry. The "Remember The Milk" CalDAV account you added can be used to create tasks from within the Reminders app (which is where they go when you ask Siri to remind you).

If you'd like to see your tasks from Remember The Milk displayed on the calendar, this page gives instructions on how to subscribe to the iCalendar feed. However, this is also a 1-way feed so you won't be able to add tasks to this calendar either.

However, I just discovered a new issue. If you happen to be going through your email and there is mention of a date, the Mail.app often gives you the option to click on the date and create a new event. When I do this and save it to the RTM calendar, it never syncs with RTM. It only remains visible within the Calendar.app if you have "Remember the Milk" checked off as one of the Calendars.

What am I doing wrong kiddos?

Swap out the user agent from 'CoreDAV/115.19 (11C73)' to 'iOS/5.0.1 (9A405) Preferences/1.0' and we're in luck.
Please RTM team, why have you limited this? I'd definitely use RTM more if I had a native client that stored data offline... and is baked into the OS like iCal is.
Please reconsider?

To set it up, download and install the software from here to your PC. This service is available exclusively to Pro users, but offers a free 15-day trial so you can try it out.

Concerning the tasks added via Siri, you're correct that they will not be available in the Reminders app. Once added, they will be pushed to your Remember The Milk account. From there, they will be synced to the various platforms you're using, including our iPhone app (available from the App Store).

- I want my Outlook calendar & tasks to be sync'd with my IPhone 4S
- I want to create Reminders and Calendar events with Siri, and obviously sync with my work Outlook. This is how I have just discovered RTM.

I have browsed RTM forums and FAQs and I think RTM can do what I want, but I still am not 100% sure. I would appreciate if someone could help / advise....

1. Can someone tell me if RTM is the solution I'm looking for?
2. If the answer to #1 was yes, I'd appreciate if someone can provide / advise an idiot proof guide on how to best set this up
3. Can someone confirm that Siri created reminders will not be visible in the native, IOS 5 Reminders app? But they will be available in the RTM app available @ apple appstore?

Sorry if I'm a little paranoid, but I want to know everything will work before I start mutating my calendars, contacts, task lists etc that I have spent years organizing and that I critically rely on. Obviously the last thing I want to do is spend hours / days trying to restore...

Btw - I'm more than happy to upgrade to Pro if RTM can do what I need!

Me, too. I've been using the cow bell sound successfully for months on my iPhone 4 and I noticed over my Thanksgiving vacation that it had stopped making the sound on my phone.

It still SHOWS the task on my lock screen, but no sound. I have come to depend on the sound for certain tasks. I've changed all the options, rebooted the phone. Re-set all the options for sound & notifications, turned off & restarted my phone a couple of times, too.

I'm using iOS 4.2.10 (have not upgraded to 5.0x yet as I'm in the middle of a major project and need to keep syncing other things the way they are before introducing a new operating system. The app version is 2.0.2.

Most were location based. If I looked right after giving siri the reminder they were there but later would not be.They also were not on RTM. I guess i will stick with plain old siri until integration is better

I've had Siri working with RTM for a while now. I haven't found it that useful for me, so I went into settings to change my default list back to the default, and the default list option is no there. I can only choose the sync period under reminders.

Anyone else see this? A bunch of Googling turned up empty, but this is relatively new territory.

It's possible there's a sync problem between your iPhone and the web app, but it's more likely that there's a browser problem preventing the correct data from loading in the web app.

sync problems between website and iphone

I rarely use RTM website as I just use my iphone. I still regularly sync to ensure that if anything happens I would have back up. I've just logged in to the website and the 'to do's' are very out of date and clearly the syncing isn't working. I've just bought an ipad and this is going to be a BIG problem - I was just thinking about going pro so that I know that either RTM app is up to date whichever device I pick up but it looks like I have a bigger issue.

Anyone know what is going on?
