... and for generally getting more tasks up on the screen at once and for displaying more of the task titles!
Additional suggestions for increasing the 'dynamic' part of the RTM iphone app display:
1. Remove the display of the list in grey below each task - I don't find this useful here - show more tasks instead!
2. Combine the double button bar at the bottom into a single bar and use the released space to fit in more tasks. Even better, remove both!
I think it's only necessary to have a '+' button (could this be put up at the top as part of the 'edit' function, or next to this button?), and possibly an indicator that the page is refreshing (could this just appear in the centre of the screen on a refresh? and the refresh button could appear elsewhere in a root window, or be activated on shaking?). In fact, the 'Edit' button could be removed and replaced by the '+' here. I don't find I have many many tasks to complete in one go, swiping away tasks is enough. Postponing could be done on the task page itself - or by a reverse swipe?
I never use the buttons 'Incomplete' and 'Complete' - this seems like a waste of space. An option to show complete items could appear in the settings, if users find this helpful. There's always the option of viewing these in a smart list.
All the buttons in the bottom bar could be put on a 'root screen'. The default view could then be 'today', with a button in the top left to go up to the root, where it's possible to go to 'This Week', 'Lists' etc, much like other iPhone apps.
For me, the more of the display that is dynamic and used to display tasks, the better!
