Have a new idea?
| david.esposito1 says: I admit I loved RTM, but I'm one of those people who did not stick around to post about it in the fourums at All. If RTM did implement subtasks I would have no other reason to look at other web apps that attemp to help me get things done but always fail miserably in the end.

| toregustafson says: RTM is by far the best task utility I've found for my needs, but subtasks would help immensely! Posted 2 years ago |
| sebastianmaguire says: I moved to another task app because rtm has no subtask feature. For pure gtd only one form of tagging is not sufficient. Posted 2 years ago |
| andrea.cavert says: I'm looking into Google tasks because of the sub task feature. Posted 2 years ago |
| krissiegel says: I agree I don't need subtasks but they'd make my life much easier. Add me to the vote. Posted 2 years ago |
| groovyjames says: I agree. I like to keep my tasks quite general for speed and transparency, but certain tasks would benefit from being able to have sub-tasks. I don't like entering sub-tasks as main tasks as it's hard to see what main task they belong to Posted 2 years ago |
| iain.stafford says: I want them too, really bad.
Posted 2 years ago |
| gekko15 says: I would also like to add my request for this feature. I am afraid that I can't start using RTM for more than rudimentary lists until a sub-tasks feature is implemented. Until then I will stay with Google Notebook (which also has Drag & Drop functionality!) . Posted 2 years ago |
| mvss.perraju says: Please add subtasks for your next release.
Posted 2 years ago |
| jhanhan says: +1 I agree - I can't use RTM or recommend it because subtasks are so essential. Posted 2 years ago |
dsns says:+1 for this. Sub-tasks is vital. Google tasks has it and if they improve the rest of their system then I will need to think seriously about moving accross Posted 2 years ago |
| jameel.haffejee says: +1 for sub tasks know it kept me away for a long time and still makes me use other systems at times Posted 2 years ago |
| martin.raissle says: +1 I'm pretty happy I'm not the only one missing this feature, so maybe we'll get it rather sooner than later Posted 2 years ago |

| scottgranado says: please implement sub tasks. a quick Bing search on this through the forums shows that the community has requested this since 2005! Posted 2 years ago |

| krypticchewie says: How about having a task generate a smart list? Where the smart list would have tasks and these be considered sub tasks. When clicking on the original task the smart list could come up. I think this could be a way to implement sub tasks with as little changes as possible. Posted 1 year ago |
| 3686 says: I think that sub-tasks would be very beneficial. Posted 1 year ago |
| philipsd6 says: +1 Posted 1 year ago |

| tpayne says: I was a pro user and have let my "pro" status lapse as I have trouble using RTM with my GTD method PRIMARILY because there is no way to do subtasks. I LOVE RTM. Its web based architecture is great for me and my Mac @ home PC@work problem. However it is really annoying that this feature does not exist. Posted 1 year ago |

| jabernet says: along with the sub tasks + sub projects, it would be good to have them hideable / showable (maybe in an expandable list) so that it's easy to close all the sub tasks and get a quick overview of the big picture, but then open them up and see the details when you want. Posted 1 year ago |
nikki.myles says:+1 for all above. Currently using two apps coz need the sub tasks feature Posted 1 year ago |
