Eager Request: Ability to Include Hyperlinks

That having been said, one of the things I'm sorely desiring, and quickly ;-), is the ability to use hyperlinks -- and ideally, although I understand you may not wish to use HTML, it would be nice if you could permit the A HREF tag in all its forms, just because that's the way people are used to coding hyperlinks. I've seen other venues where full HTML wasn't permitted, but some HTML tags were simply because that's what people were used to, thus allowing [b], [i], [a href], etc.

(Amusing! HTML is allowed in comments? I'm glad I previewed this before posting. In the above examples, consider the square brackets replaced with the more traditional greater- and less-than signs.)

Alternatively, it would be nice to have the ability to "attach" multiple URLs to a task -- so that if you do not feel comfortable permitting HTML, people could at least include URLs with a task that would then become clickable. I'm thinking they could appear as little URL icons (akin to Mac OS X's webloc icon) next to the task, much like you would see an attachment next to an incoming message.

Reason I would seek this so very much as the next feature to be rolled out is because otherwise, you end up having very large monstrosities where you have to include the URL as text with your task, resulting in a unwieldly 10- or 15-line task.

That doesn't look as horrible here, but imagine it in the smaller-width task display and you'll get the idea.

Have you tried including URLs in notes also? URLs auto-link in notes, which might partially solve your problem.

We're looking at ways we can improve the support for including URLs in tasks/notes, as I know that many people find them useful to include.

And when it runs out of the note box, that throws the sidebar to the bottom of the page in MSIE, which some of us unfortunately have to use at work (sigh). Thus an even more dire situation.

I occasionnally foreward an email with an attachment as a task to my rmilk adress and a c.c to my gmail adres. I include in the note "www.gmail.com" to quickly go to my gmail inbox and find back the attachment. It just doesn't work without the http://.

Typing less is always better :)

Good plugin overall. The test file worked fine. Unfortunately, it didn't work in RtM. Neither in the tasks line, nor in the notes.

Thanks though for the tip. I'll keep it in anyway.
