Task estimates functionnality

oboulanger says:
I have been playing around a little with task estimates without being able to find a true benefit from it.

I was hoping that when I would set a task due date to say Thursday AND set the time estimate to 2 days I would see in the OVerview page:
- on wednesday in the Today tab the task due today, and in the tomorrow tab I would simultaneously see the task as well.

- On Thursday the task would only be Visible in the today tab.

A side effect if this fucntionnality would be to have what is currently labeled as the "Due Date" as either a start date or end date.

Currently my workaround for this is to repeat tasks multiple days, but I think there could be some benefit from increased functionnality with the Time Estimate.

Thanks for your feedback.

Our original thought with time estimates is that they would be useful for tasks that take less than a day (and if you had a task that took more than a day, you could break it up into smaller tasks).

Then, you could use this to see the time you've estimated for a particular day ('how much work do I have to do on Friday'), or for a particular list ('how many hours do I have left in my Work list').

The difficulty with multiple day time estimates is that we don't know when you plan to complete the task -- it may not be on consecutive days. We'd probably need start and end dates to do this properly.

Any feedback on how people are using time estimates and/or would like to be using them is appreciated :)
