I use my tags as project names, but the problem is, after creating a tag, I need to create a Smart List for it. It's not stream-lined either, as when I press the "Save" tab, RTM makes no guess about what the list should be named, so I have to cut/paste from the search box..
It would be great if RTM would just create that list automatically. I can envision it happening one of a few ways:
1) Have a global option, that, for each tag, creates a Smart List with the same name. This is probably the easiest to implement. Only have to prevent duplications.
2) Have the ability to create a Smart List for the tag on the Settings | Tags screen. It could live in the box on the right (where you can rename a selected tag), or in the drop-down menu (where it says "merge," "delete"). To make this useful, the main listing of tags (again, in Settings|Tags) would need to show at-a-glance which Tags already have an associated Smart List of the same name.
I couldn't find anything when I searched the forums to see if this was possible in some other way, but if someone has some workaround i'd love to hear about it.

says:I'm trying to figure out how these smart lists would be different from what you see when you click on a tag in the tag cloud? Is that not what you are after?

yes, i guess it is. i spend most of my time in the "Tasks" view, so i don't use the tag cloud much (which lives in the "overview" view). it's too cluttered besides.
i know there's a greasemonkey tag cloud script (tag cloud colorizer) but i've installed it and it remains monochrome blue and i haven't gotten around to see why.
if i can get that working and tweak that it would be suitable too.
it's interesting; i assumed people used the Tasks view primarily, but i guess not. good to know rtm can accomadate all these different usage scenarios.

ahh, i just had it turned off in the settings! this helps. will the cloud hold all the tags or just the most frequently used? if it holds them all, that might do the trick.
