retrospective and repetition

First off, glad to see a lot of awesome things here at RTM. Especially like the connections to Google apps and others. I've been considering what I'd like in a task-manager app (with a view to writing one) and RTM hits a lot of it.
That said, RTM and I think most task management software really only work well for one use case, which is when you have a concrete task and time in mind and just want to remember to do it at/by that time. This leaves out a whole class of useful stuff associated with tasks. So I'd like to expand on this ancient suggestion:

Consider that probably most tasks we engage in are repeated. Consider getting the milk, for instance. That's not going to be a one-time thing that you check off. It's something you'll do over and over. You'll want to call it up and do it again in a few days' time. In fact, it might even be nice to know *when* you've performed the task - how many times in the last month - hey, even a nice graph. OK, that probably sounds a bit silly as far as getting the milk, but when it comes to exercise routines, or property maintenance, you can start to see how that sort of retrospective is handy, and not currently provided AFAICS. So proposed functionality:
1) Ability to see when you've performed a task (or related tasks...) in the past. Dates, frequency.
In a similar vein, one of the best things about managing tasks is marking them off - the feeling of accomplishment. So it's not just about telling you what you need to do - it's about seeing what you have done. More functionality:
2) Ability to see - for a day, week, month - what tasks were performed. On Home, show for today and/or maybe yesterday.
And given most tasks will be needed again -
3) Ability to put a new date/repetition on a task right from the "completed" section - currently you have to "uncomplete" first and then go find it again to assign a date.

d'oh, color me silly on linking the ancient suggestion - i was going to expand on "fuzzy" scheduling but took the post in another direction as i decided i'd better see how well the current fuzzy repetition ("weekly" etc.) works... still, i don't really like having actual dates on everything...
