Have a new idea?
| becky.schaffer says: I think it would be great if the Daily Reminders included tasks that were overdue as well as the ones due today. Posted at 7:00pm on January 16, 2008 |
| psweetma says: I was also thinking this would be good - in some ways tasks that are overdue are more important than ones which are due today. Posted 4 years ago |
njustn says:The fact I found this thread in an attempt to discern how to do exactly that might say something about the situation... An option would really be nice. Posted 3 years ago |
| bob.bond says: And from me. Overdue tasks need to be prioritised/reminded Posted 3 years ago |

| nutrasweetness says: Yes! I would love this. I agree these items are, in a way, often more important than the new items. Some days I get my reminder email, and I don't want to postpone it right away, but I don't want to forget it, it slips my mind, then I forget about it until days (or even weeks) later I log into RTM and realize it's still there. Posted 3 years ago |
| rainerschnelle says: You can creat a smart list (saved search) with all tasks due today and all tasks overdue. It's simple and I use it allt he time. Posted 3 years ago |
| mileszs says: Another +1, if it's needed. Posted 3 years ago |
| littenberg says: Yep - I want it, too! Thx Posted 3 years ago |
| ryuhei.oda says: Without this feature I can't use RTM efficiently! Please add it ASAP! Thanks. Posted 3 years ago |

| rhymes says: This would be great. I often forget to "do" something because I don't receive a notification for an overdue task :) Posted 2 years ago |
| dylandamian says: Another +1 Posted 2 years ago |
| bdturner says: Agree. +1 Posted 2 years ago |
| vinhly1 says: +1
Posted 2 years ago |
| daftviking says: I definitely need the "nag" factor of this one, would love to see this option. +1 Posted 2 years ago |

Posted 2 years ago |
| bilou972 says: +100 ! Fundamental ! Posted 2 years ago |
| samycchn says: you can just search (due:"today" or dueBefore:"today") for what you needed. Posted 2 years ago |
| getfamous says: Agreed - sorely needed. Posted 2 years ago |
| dsinnett says: I am currently working on writing a small web app that uses the RTM API to do custom reports/notifications. It was inspired by wanting to receive the items in a smart list in my email in the morning...but with a little additional code it could do a lot more. Once I get it to a point where it is "working" I will throw it out for people to try. Understand it will be very "alpha" initially but it could grow legs :-) Posted 2 years ago |
| samycchn says: Smart list with (due:"today" or dueBefore:"today") can give what you needed. Posted 2 years ago |
| tzortea says: I agree. Reminders that include overdue tasks is very important to me too. Posted 2 years ago |
| poppafetch says: I would like this too - make it an option.
Posted 2 years ago |
| rossellab says: I would like this very much too.
Posted 2 years ago |
| cdhsman says: I think that a better solution would be to make reminders a task level, rather than an application level, feature. Each task should have the option to set, or not set, a reminder. And you should be able to set what type of reminder and what time of day it should be sent. That would be nice! Posted 2 years ago |
| nbarrowman says: +1 Posted 2 years ago |
| ryan.cross says: +1 from me. I also thought it worth noting a few other threads asking for the same thing in an attempt to consolidate.
Posted 2 years ago |
| barkwheats says: Yikes, this thread is nearly 2 years old, but I'm still going to throw in my +1 here just in case. Posted 2 years ago |
dougmason says:Another +1 - I love RTM and it has indeed made me more organized, but I'd love to get my morning email containing the items that didn't get completed yesterday! Posted 2 years ago |
| barkwheats says: A BIG +1! Posted 2 years ago |
| dmikam says: I need it !!!
Posted 1 year ago |
| xarro says: The way the reminders currently work (on the rare occasions when they do) makes absolutely no sense. In my line of work, things don't have a due time I can express in dates and specific times. Things are to be done "soon" or "within the month"—you get the idea.

| dtbogor says: does anyone from RTM read these forums?
Posted 1 year ago |
| muse924 says: +1 for overdue task nags. Posted 1 year ago |
| karl.leonard says: me too please! Posted 1 year ago |

| shauntck says: +1 ... this is seriously needed. Posted 1 year ago |
dnicholusa says:Dang....haven't checked this for a long time and was hoping it had been added. PLEASE! Posted 1 year ago |
| stephan.matthiesen says: There seems to be a similar issue with the reminder "x days before task is due". I expected it to mean that I get a reminder for all the tasks within the next x days, but in fact it only included tasks that are due in exactly x days. It would be much more useful to have a reminder of all the tasks for the next few days (including all overdue ones). Posted 1 year ago |
