So something like 'remind me every day until it's due'?

We're looking to make the reminder options more flexible -- I'm not sure how advanced we'll get, but any suggestions are appreciated :)

I'd 2nd having this option. Being able to set specific reminders for recurring events like birthdays, anniversaries, etc. would be very helpful. Sometimes, for certain aformentioned events I save in RTM, I want to be notified 1 or 2 weeks in advance...and for others, I don't want to be reminded at all.

How about another option in the Task tab for "reminder yes/no"...and if yes, set up the event specific reminders for e-mail, cell phone, etc. per what we have set up in our settings.

I would suggest something like having multiple reminders that could be set, like aymon says: remind me X days before, Y days before and Z minutes before.

I need to bump this up, because this issue hasnt been addressed to my knowledge.

"I need to be remeinded 5 days, AND 4 days, AND 3 days before something is due. 4 days is a heads up, 4 days is a ok, time to start thinking about doing iot, and so on"

Closely related to this would be something like:

5, 4, 2, and 1 days before the deadline, I want an email

AND

1 hour before the dealine I want an IM

AND

15 minutes before the dealine, I want an SMS

Right, it would be nice to be able to add as many reminders to a particular task as you want, each with its own way of reminding you.

In case anyone's counting, I like these ideas immensely. :-)

I like multiple reminders too. I like to set up tasks with the true due date, but currently I have to enter duplicate "preparation" tasks with earlier dates to get the reminders I want.

Also, different types of task need different amounts of notice. A task like "Do Christmas shopping" might need a month's notice, but "check tyre pressure" doesn't need any.

Finally, I would like a weekly email summary of what's coming in the next 2 weeks.
