Don't forget hotsyncing!

It would be nice for those without smartphones who have plain-jane PDAs to be able to hotsync our RTM tasks.

I would love to be able to get my RTM on my Palm Tungsten E.

I am also waiting for a solution to synchronise my Palm and remember the milk. I would subscribe to Pro version to have this feature !

On a Mac, getting RTM tasks on to a Palm can be done via iCal and iSync, although they lose (or do not show) many of the attributes that let you manipulate them. What they do not do is sync, and that's what we'd love to see for our non-wireless Palms - syncing from the Palm to the PC/Mac and from there to the site.

I definitely want this as well. I use Palm Zire basic and being able to syn RTM wit it's todo feature would be extremely helpful.

I also would like to see milksync working with palm devices either via hotsync or ota. This feature would entice me to upgrade to a pro account and start using rmilk full time.

I too would be willing to pay for a Palm version that would sync with my online lists.

This would be the difference between me going pro and not going pro; unless my palm can talk to RTM, rtm is nothing more than a novelty I occasionally update manually. I love everything about it except that there's no way to integrate it practically into my life. Having to go out of my way for a time management solution is counterproductive and defeats the purpose altogether. :(

Count me in too for a RTM user who would be willing to pay for MilkSync to hotsync to a Palm (Tungsten E2), preferably on Mac OS X.

RTM on a palm would be nice, but I think it would be a lot of work. They would have to design practically a whole new system.

If you guys do develop palm support, please make sure it works with older models such as the Palm V as well.

In the mean-time, I think sorting options are more important..

I suffered with these kinds of issues (synchronization) for years, with various Palm devices culminating in a Treo 650. I switched to iPhone a few months ago, and have never been happier. Everything is in the cloud--no syncing required--and RTM on the iPhone is fantastic. If you can, that's the route to go, IMHO.

I would certainly go pro if RTM for Palm was available, preferably in an OTA and HotSync versions. It would be great to be able to use Tasks on my Treo and have it sync with something online vs. just my Mac.

I'd sign up for rtm pro in a heartbeat if it meant I could sync with my Palm OS devices. Hotsync would be preferable for the old devices, but I'm game for anything. Even if we could only sync with the inbox or something.

Palm TX here and I'd be all over buying it. Often I can get a WiFi spot and use it there, but not always.

I've a Palm T|X and Office 2007 and can currently import RTM to Outlook and sync from there to my Palm, but the format is view only, so not a great deal of use. I've loved RTM so far, but now I've got this Palm, I'm thinking I'm going to have to go back to Outlook tasks, which are not shareable unless on Exchange which I'm not. That would be a backwards step afaic, so please, please can we have RTM for the Palm?! thank you :)

honestly it's has bugged me how RTM has no Palm sync. If they did, i think they would get a /huge/ number of Palm users become pro users.

I would upgrade to pro without hesitation if milksync worked with palm... (I'm guessing my wife would as well).

I can't say how important this would be for personal organization. The reason we all get PDA's is to have something portable that we will actually use. The web interface is great but syncing with palm or at least outlook would be great and i would pay for it.

+1 on going pro for a palm sync.

I would love to see it sync through the Palm Desktop rather than through the phone, though.

This is the only thing that keeps me using Yahoo Calendar - they sync your Yahoo calendar with the Palm Desktop.

I've used a Palm since they first came out in 1996. Currently have a Palm TX and would LOVE a MilkSync solution for the Palm OS.

I explicitly upgraded to RTM Pro in hopes the extra dough would help with the development.

For others holding back going Pro until MilkSync works with Palm OS... that seems backwards to me. Upgrade now and give the RTM team incentive to get it done. IMHO.

Thanks for the 'forward' thinking suggestion John. I recently kicked in for Pro and sent a note requesting the Palm MilkSync to the folks at RTM.

I hope more people take your lead as well.

Me thinks Palm Milk-Sync Bad. Milk-Sync waste of time. RTM.prc stand alone be much better, me thinks.

Standalone app or sync, count me in.

Its not ideal, but you can at least store a "read-only" version of your tasks to your palm using Plucker (http://www.plkr.org) by pointing it to the appropriate URLs.

That way at least you'll have your tasks with you on the go, you just won't be able to update them on your palm, but lets face it, the palm has always been a bit of a pain to write data to.

This is the main reason I have my Palm, and no I don't find it hard to write data to.

I use my Palm more for inputting data then synicing it to my computer that the other way around.

but a Sync of RTM would help in both directions.

For my Treo, I currently use:

- Jott (www.jott.com) to RTM! very cool and can be used from any phone but requires air time and ability to make a call
- or email to RTM via the 'Inbox Email Address' which is good if it is not convenient to make a call.

And I check my tasks via

which requires a data connection and loading in the browse so it is slower but works pretty well.

A standalone app that stays in via wireless would be ideal, but for now this is working pretty well.

i will never switch from my treo 700p and use rtm via twitter..really need it for the device! u did it for blackberry come on for treo!!!

I'd love a way to sync RTM with the task list on my Treo 700p! I'm going to try the mobile version, but that requires a data connection -- and I sometimes go places where I can't get one; besides it is slower. If you can do this for iPhone, Windows Mobile and Blackberry, you can do it for Palm OS devices!

YES, PLEEEEEASE! Laptops/Desktops could be obsolete for Smartphone users if only tasks, calendars, and notes could be sync'd on the go. For now, using a mobile browser works, but is inefficient. Ideally, functionality like IMAP or iCal would be the ticket...and integration with Bonsai is a definite plus. I'd pay, I'd BETA test, I'd help in any way I could to make this happen. Thanks!

I have a palm Zire, and just figured out how to sync my google calendar there. I'm thrilled to be using my Palm for organizing again (instead of the glorified alarm clock it had become since I ditched Outlook), and if I can get RTM on it, my life will be complete. And I'll gladly pay for Pro.

The Palm platform is dead for java because Palm pulled support.

Instead of bugging RTM we need to bug Palm to support java on all current devices. They dropped support for java early this year.

I personally wouldn't recommend a Treo because of lack of support.

Next year Palm may come out with a Linux based Treo which I am sure RTM will support because it will have java.

Of course when Android is available for my carrier, Sprint, I'll seriously consider dropping my Palm.

I still want a hotsync for my palm zire 22. This would help tremendously.

If outlook sync with RTM were possible, then this would also be possible, as GooSync (another 3rd party program - note not freeware, but actually very good for the things it does (Google Calendar, Google Contacts Over The Air synchronization with the Palm) would then be able to sync with Outlook and then wirelessly to the Palm. However this method requires Outlook to be synced with RTM which I believe is not currently possible. There was also talk at some point of direct GooSync to RTM sync.
